The Personnel Division

  Under the direct leadership of the university’s Party Committee and Administration, the Personnel Division of Shanxi University is one of the main organs with administrative functions. It comprises the following eight sections: the Office, the Personnel Section, the Office of Professional Ranks, the Section of Teachers’ Qualifications, the Office of Post-doctoral Management, the Section of Labor and Management, the Family Planning Office and the Talents Exchange Center.

  The duties of the Personnel Division are as follows:

  To take charge of personnel organization, structure proportion, personnel statistical work and the establishment and adjustment of the administrative organs of the university;

  To lay down and carry out talent plans, and to take charge of the introduction, flow and management of talents;

  To fulfill the work of evaluation, appointment, examination and management of the staff’s professional and technical posts;

  To take charge of the construction and management of the teaching faculty, and also take charge of the management of post-doctors and post-doctoral positions;

  To be responsible for wages planning, management, social insurance and welfare of labor force;

  To manage temporary workers of the university and to supervise and examine the work of the units which employ those workers;

  To be in charge of the office work of the Family Planning Commission of the university;

  To manage the personnel archives and others.
